March 2017 - Engineering in a Box - Rang 4
‘Engineering in a Box’ is a new initiative whereby engineering skills are taught to primary school pupils with help from STEAM Education Ltd., engineering companies and University College Cork. To take part in the scheme, schools must obtain sponsorship from a company. John Paul Construction, Little Island have kindly agreed to sponsor Gaelscoil Uí Drisceoil. For the next ten weeks two engineers from John Paul Construction will endeavour to give pupils of both fourth classes an introduction to the skills of engineering.

4th December - Aonach na Nollag/Christmas Market.
The Christmas Market on the 4th December was a great success. €10,500 was collected for the school. We are very grateful to all who supported the event.

Comhgairdeas le Malachaí a bhuaidh Gradam Litearthachta ag an Oireachtas dá dhráma "Is liomsa na Camáin" an dráma faoi 1916 a léirigh sé lena Rang anuraidh. Congratulations to Múinteoir Malachaí who won a Gradam Litearthachta at the Oireachtas for the play he wrote "Is liomsa na Camáin" as part of the 1916 commemeration. |
